Microsoft Flight Simulator will soon get it's first ever "World Update", and it all starts in the land of the rising sun, JAPAN!
The flight simulator team has been working hard to bring us the sims first world update, and what better place to start than the country of traditional culture, Japan. The announcement was made by Microsoft at the Tokyo Game Show, and the update will be available FOR FREE on September 29th!
So what's new?
The country and surrounding area will be getting a refresh, which aims to deliver a higher definition look at Japan's natural beauty, glorious architecture and of course, give a better view of the countries rich culture.
There are multiple specific locations that we are expecting to see overhauled in glorious high definition. Lets take a look......
6 Upgraded Cities
All six cities will be recreated using the 3D photographic rendering technology developed by microsoft and its partners.
These six airports will be updated with highly detailed models. Additionally, we will see a number of Japanese based landing challenges added as part of the free upgrade. We will also be able to enjoy the amazing landmarks including Mt. Fuji, Himeji Castle, Tokyo Skytree, and the dubbed "three beautiful views" of Japan: Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima, and Amanohashidate.
